Fall Favorites

Sept 21st: Fall Favorites. What do you love most about this season?

I already kind of did this post. But I just love fall! Although, today is kind of crappy, it’s rainy and cold.

However, I’m still embracing this season.

I love being able to drink my teas 🙂

Day in the Life

Sept 20th: Share a day in the life. Pictures, timelines, stats, however you like.

Well let’s see here I usually start my day by checking emails, blog, and Facebook.  Go over my planner for the day. Then, I’ll go for a walk usually.

Next, I usually do my blog post for the day and get ready for work.  My routine includes oil pulling while putting coconut oil on as a moisturizer, putting product in my hair by Giovanni, doing my makeup, and then blowing drying my hair.

Tuesday-Saturday I go to work.  On my off days my schedules a little different.  Like today, I’m off work to go to the Globathon in Madison, WI to help a classmate at a booth.  I’m very excited!

I’m also currently doing the Vintage Remedies Essential Oils class that I got through the Ultimate Living Healthy Bundle!

Last night, I got the mail and found this little package!  I was so happy! I had a feeling and thought I have to check the mail, my energy was pulling me there.  Well, low and behold, my energy knew why!

Do What Makes YOU Happy!

9.19.14 Blog-Tember Challenge

Sept 19th: If you could give one piece of advice to a large group of people, what would it be?

My advice is: Do what makes you happy.

It seems now a days its go go go. Check off this list and that list. Go to work and make money. No time to relax.

But what about being happy? Shouldn’t we enjoy our time here and embrace each moment?

We need to live each day as our last.  Now it doesn’t necessarily mean we need to spend lots of money and do everything under the sun.  What it means is do what makes you sparkle, glow, and shine!

Is it that cup of coffee in the morning? Snuggling with your kids? Night walks with your lover? Whatever it is do it OFTEN.

Do what makes you feel fulfilled! The more you feel fulfilled the better life will be for you 🙂

Stop doing what others tell you to do.  Be you! It’s your life and you make the decisions.  It’s no one else’s business!

I’m slowly starting to learn this and practice it.  I have to admit the more I do the little things to feel fulfilled the better I feel.

Some of my fulfillment comes from:

  • nightly cup of tea (Yogi Healthy Fasting, Caramel Apple Spice, or Good Earth Sweet & Spicy)
  • coffee in the mornings
  • reading a love story
  • talking to my hunny
  • helping people at work
  • taking walks in the country
  • yoga and deep breathing

What’s some advice you’d give to a large group of people? What makes you feel fulfilled?

Texas or Bust

9.18.14 Blog-Tember Challenge

Sept 18th: Tell a tale of traveling, a city or country you’ve been to or a favorite vacation.

As a kid, I was blessed to have been on so many family vacations.  We not only went up north to Shawano Lake for weeks but to Colorado, Maine, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming.  My sisters and I have almost been in every state because all these trips on the road.

I actually found a picture from when I was little! Pictured above is me, Dylan, and Emily getting ready to go boating! The summers up at Shawano Lake are pretty unforgettable.  We stayed at my aunt and uncles cabin that was only like 500 feet from the beach.  Our days consisted of laying on the beach, hanging out at the sandbars, tubing, and playing on the playground.

One vacation that sticks out is when my dad, sisters, and I took a road trip to Texas to visit some family.  We rented a 12 seater van with my grandma, cousins, and aunt and uncle. It was so much fun with all of us together.  On the way, we stopped at Mt. Rushmore.

I remember we had to take a pit stop in New Mexico at a a little rest area.  Well the bathrooms were nasty and there were snakes.  My aunt freaked out! She came running back to the van screaming.  We arrived to Texas in one piece and had a wonderful time staying with my other aunt and uncle.

Although that had to end, we packed up and were on our way home.  On the way home, we stopped in St. Louis, Missouri to check out the Gateway Arch.  We went up it in this little egg shaped thing.  I’m still shocked I went up it.  If I went there today, I definitely would not be going up in that little thing.  While we were at top, the whole walkway swayed.  I thought I was going to have a panic attack!

Well I made it back down and was okay. After about another 10 hours, we made it home!  It was such a fun vacation with lifetime memories 🙂

What is your favorite vacation?

19, Living the Dream

9.16.14 Blog-Tember Challenge

Sept 16th: “Most people don’t know this but…”

Not many people know that I’m only 19.  I’ve always been mature for my age.  Perhaps it is because I’m the oldest of my family.  When,  I was two I was so excited to be a big sister.  I was telling stories already, helping mom clean, and working with dad outside.  Whenever my parents had people over, I was always right there listening in.  I never wanted to go to bed because I was afraid I was going to miss something.  I’ve also had people tell me I’m an old soul.  I take it as a compliment 🙂

I figured out life flies by.  I remember being told you don’t want to grow up, it’ll just fly by.  Well, boy did reality hit me.  I’m going to be 20 in November!  At 20, my mom had me, got me married, & bought a house. WOW. I can’t imagine doing all that right now.  I’m still trying to figure out who I am, finish school, and budget my money.

I want to live every moment as if it’s my last and not care what people think!  The next 20 years will go just as fast as if not faster.  So being 19 to me means, start living your life and embrace it!

I’m a 19 year old on a mission to live my best life and help others!  I’ll be graduating from IIN in December as a Holistic Health Coach.  I am already working with people and would love to help you on your journey to health and wellness!  Email me at thebalancedlife4you@gmail.com or leave a comment below! What’s something people don’t know about you?

Fulfill Your Primary Foods

What does health mean to you?

Is it feeling energized through out the day? Working out for an hour a day? Eating chlorella, maca, and avocados?

According to dictionary.com health is: the general condition of the body or mind with reference to soundness and vigor

While Google says: the state of being free from illness or injury

I would say they are both missing parts to the definition.

Health in my opinion is not just the physical aspect but mental and emotional as well.  Think of someone who is in an unhappy marriage yet eats healthy and exercises daily?  Is that person truly happy?  I think not.  Health needs to be balanced in all aspects.

I’ve always known it was more than what you are eating and what pills you take that make up your health.  While in schooling at IIN, I’ve learned about primary foods.  Primary foods is not what you find on your plate.  It is your relationships, spirituality, fulfilling career, and movement.

Remember as a child, when mom said come eat dinner but you were just having to much fun playing outside that you weren’t hungry?  Or how about when you were first in love and were in a love daze?  Now on the other end of the spectrum when you were so sad due to a breakup nothing could fill that void, not ice cream, oreos, or chips. This just shows that when one of your primary foods are lacking, we try to fill them with secondary foods (the food actually found on our plate).

What is health-

In today’s health care, it’s not about the patient anymore.  The doctor tells you what you have as fast he can and hands you a prescription, mind you this is not all doctors.  Doctors should be asking how you really feel and what’s going on in your life.  They need to acknowledge that mind, body, and soul work together in unison.

I’m on a mission to help people live their healthiest and happiest lives.  I want people to be more aware of themselves and that THEY are in charge of how they feel.
